Cabinet 001 - $425 loaded

The cabinet is solid spruce which was reclaimed locally. All the fabrics were from junk stores in town. Check out the pattern on the velour!!! The leather is from a briefcase purchased at the junk store. This one has sat in our living room since August 2011. I knew I was on to something when my wife Janice didn't want me to put it in the garage!! "It looks good in the living room!"

Each cabinet gets an info sheet telling about the construction and bits installed.  001 got a WGS ET65. These are a great sounding speaker modeled after the Celestion G12-65. All the speakers that I install go through my Speaker Spa!! It is a process that helps break in the speaker to get it to it's best sound as soon as possible.

001 comes with the option of going with either open back configuration or closed back configuration.

 

 

 

Cabinet 002 - $445 loaded

The cabinet is solid poplar which was reclaimed locally. I love the pattern on the grill cover. I think it was a cloth napkin! The solid poplar construction gives it a nice warm thunk! The tweed was a left over from another project I had worked on and I really liked the way it looked with the leather. The leather accents are all hand made from bits from the leather briefcases I found at junk stores. This handle is a hard one to let go of! I actually hesitated before putting it on the cabinet, but it looked so good!

Cabinet 004 - $375 - unloaded

I had a weird moment where my thoughts went "I wonder what it would look like if I..." So here iit is... INTRODUCING....SLANT BOY!!! This cabinet was so much fun to build that I had to put a name to it. Who knows but it may become a series! 

This one is all poplar sides and back with a spruce speaker frame. The legs are all original fromt he '70s and were purly cosmetic but do put a nice seperation between the cabinet and the floor which reduces ugly rumble keeping the sound sharp and clean. No speaker is in it which leaves the buyer the opportunity to put in whatever they desire.

004 will of course comes with the option of going with either open back configuration or closed back configuration.
